Camp Blood (1.2) Update Notes Preview
Feature Updates
New Map: Ruby Lake
Set on the outskirts of Warren County, New Jersey, Ruby Lake is our latest Survival experience inspired by the campsite slashers of the 80s. The CRC is assisting the National Guard in ensuring the extraction of civilians from the wider area, with zombies goaded into the now-vacant facilities as distraction.

New Progression Systems: Retirement & Distinguished Service
Responder Retirement offers a long-term, prestige system for players seeking greater accomplishment in No More Room in Hell 2 that also provides a path towards powerful items that will make a tangible difference in the upcoming Hell Mode.
When you visit the Responder screen, you’ll see your Distinguished Service Rank as well as the option to retire Responders in the bottom left. Once retired, a Responder is no longer playable and their slot on your roster becomes free once more. In exchange, you will progress Distinguished Service as well as gain +1 starting level to future Responders, up to a maximum of +29! (i.e. starting at Level 30)
Note on the right, two new loadout slots earnable through Distinguished Service!
Distinguished Service is a new leveling system that rewards experience exclusively through retired Responders. You can preview how much XP each retirement would provide, based on their accomplishments and skills up to this point. Responders must reach level 100 before being eligible for retirement, but you can check in on your potential progress at any level!

Distinguished Service has its own rewards track with unlocks at every level. An additional loadout slot is the first major unlock, with cosmetics and new gameplay features in later levels. In this update, there are 20 Dedicated Service levels available with additional levels to be added in future updates.

Here are the new perks and passive items that are available only through Distinguished Service:

New Experimental Feature: Subtitles
Subtitles are now available as an experimental feature, starting with single variants of CRC dialogue. This means that while the actual lines may vary, there is always a subtitle that conveys the core goal of a mission objective. This iteration also includes some limited settings that allow you to customize the display of subtitles to better suit your needs. Please give us any feedback as we hope to improve this feature in the future!

Cosmetic Content
Retirement Rewards
As part of Responder Retirement, various new cosmetic items and logos are available to earn exclusively through Distinguished Service! Here are all of the new items being added:

DLC Offerings
We’re adding three additional cosmetic bundles available for purchase, including homages to horror icons as well as the return of a NMRIH1 favorite! Our Scarecrow pack, which has some additional 3D components involved in its creation, will be at a slightly increased price point.

Balance & Map Changes
In-Match Communication Changes
Adjusted Nameplate and Voice over IP (VOIP) ranges across all maps
Larger, open maps (Power Plant and Pottsville) will now show nameplates and allow Responders to speak with each other up to 90m apart.
Denser maps (Bunker, Lewiston, Flooded, and Lighthouse) will allow up to 60m apart.
Our smaller, most dense, or vertical maps (Ruby Lake, NOTLD, Broadway, and Hospital) will allow up to 45m apart.
Power Plant Finale Changes
Reworked the Power Plant ending scenario to merge the exterior POI repairs and HQ parts repair scenarios.
Responders will now need to complete two randomly selected objectives in the three exterior POIs (the Ash Farm, Cooling Tower, and Stacker Reclaimer) before entering the HQ.
After this, Responders will complete a set of repairs for one random group of parts (condensers, ventilators, or water pumps).
Finally, Responders will open the shutters to the control room, find a codebook, enter the code, and pull the lever to extract.
Dev Comment: We felt that these scenarios were both a bit underwhelming and a little easy for a finale on their own, and chose to combine them to see how it felt. After testing with these adjustments, we think it will make for a much more satisfying conclusion to Power Plant runs!
To accommodate these changes as well as address zombie pressure issues, we’ve changed to spacing between zombie spawners in this scenario to be a bit sparser.
We also took this moment to update thematic zombie spawn rates in the central Power Plant region for all scenarios. Players should see a mix of Firefighters, Riot Police, and National Guard zombies in this area now, look out!
Loot Spawning Updates
Hospital
Reduced barricade plank spawn rate by 30%
Lewiston
Car trunks should more reliably have loot spawns within
